Welcome!

I am an economist doing research in political economy and development, with a focus on identity, education, and social networks.

In my job market paper, I study how inter-ethnic integration shapes social learning among high schoolers in Macedonia. In a different paper, I study how language skills matter during inter-ethnic contact in the same high schools. This work is supported by J-PAL, The Pearson Institute, and the Becker Friedman Institute. See this research and work in progress here.

I am currently at Harvard University as a Weatherhead Scholar. I earned my PhD from the University of Chicago in 2025, and my BA from Brown University in 2017.

I am on the 2025-2026 job market. My references are James Robinson (Chair), Steven Durlauf, Oeindrila Dube, and Leonardo Bursztyn.

My blog has random thoughts on what I’m reading, watching, and listening to… and the occasional recipe.
