Welcome!
I am an economist studying the intersection of political economy and education.
I am currently a Weatherhead Scholar at Harvard University. In September 2026, I will join the University of Porto as an Assistant Professor at the School of Economics and Management.
My research has a focus on informal institutions, education, and culture. In one paper, I study how inter-ethnic integration shapes social learning among high schoolers in Macedonia. In a different paper in the same segregated high schools, I study how language skills matter during inter-ethnic contact. This work is supported by J-PAL, The Pearson Institute, and the Becker Friedman Institute. See my research here.
I earned my PhD from the University of Chicago in 2025, and my BA from Brown University in 2017. During 2017-2019, I was a Research Coordinator at the Wharton School of Business.
